Hello! I’m Althea Wiles, consultant, coach and mentor to creative floral artists and studio owners.

Over 30 years ago, I began my floral career and was fortunate to learn from an incredible mentor who taught me that good floral design isn't just about making things pretty, it's about making strong, long-lasting designs that are also pretty. That lesson stuck with me and became the foundation of J Althea Creative Consulting.

Today, I work selectively on event projects for longstanding clients and select signature commissions through my studio (Rose of Sharon Floral Design Studio) and with floral designers as a consultant, coach and mentor through J Althea Creative Consulting.

I've been designing with flowers for 30 years, and I still love creating beautiful floral arrangements. But that early lesson has lead me here. To a place where I can help guild other florists in creating their own thriving businesses; businesses that have a strong foundation, longevity, and can be something beautiful that they are proud of.

My Approach

A strong foundation doesn't mean a cookie cutter business. It's my job to tease out the things that work for you so that your business becomes easier and you have more time to design. Sometimes that listening to your concerns and other times it will mean helping you learns a software we're putting a system into place to make your business more efficient. This is why I charge a flat rate rather than bundles, downloads or “learn at your own pace” programs. Because I do my best work when a relationship exists, I prefer one-on-one teaching. Give me a problem to ask me a question and you won't be able to shut me up.
